The war in Ukraine shows no signs of letting up, and neither does support from the Three Pines Studio community for the people of Ukraine. Although there have been successes from a military standpoint, the people of Ukraine continue to suffer on a day-to-day basis, especially in those areas that have been devastated. Many Ukrainians are still displaced from their homes, especially those returning to newly liberated areas.
World Central Kitchen is a non-profit founded by Chef José Andrés designed to assist areas around the world suffering from natural and man-made disasters. Last year, Chef Andrés and the World Central Kitchen team began their response by serving fresh, nourishing meals to refugees fleeing Ukraine as well as those remaining in the country. As the crisis continues one year later, WCK continues to meet the changing need in Ukraine, providing both fresh meals and food kits with ingredients for families to prepare in their homes.
Your continued support is needed. As the situation has evolved, the war in Ukraine has turned into a war for food.
The Facts:
- The current cost per meal is around $3-$4.
- Each food kit distributed by World Central Kitchen weighs 30 pounds and contains enough food to feed a household for 4 days.

Our studio is making around 100 wood blocked tea towels per day, all by hand, and it’s been hard to keep up with demand. Please have patience as we work hard to fill each and every order. This is not a machine production line. This is two women working very hard. We will soon have tendinitis for all our work.
